The Little Meetinghouse's

2008 summer storytelling series

“An Evening of Story”

The Little Meetinghouse's summer storytelling series starts its' third Season.

A family venue, "An Evening of Story" brings tellers from around the State of Maine to share their love of Story.  Tellers, from Garland, Peaks Island, Brunswick, Westbrook, Portland, and Windham, bring their own unique energy, personality, and style to the story.

The Storytellers will share Stories that span all age groups and are appropriate for younger children, but still fascinating to adults.

All the tellers are members of M.O.O.S.E.  Maine Organization of Storytelling Enthusiast, many of our featured tellers are also members of LANES the League for the Advancement of New England Storytelling and NSN the National Storytelling Network. Come join us.

The Little Meetinghouse built in 1870 was most recently the home of the North Windham Union Church.  It was moved about 14 years ago onto new foundations directly across from the present day church.  Over the years restoration work has brought electricity and plumbing and a fresh coat of paint to the meetinghouse.  The donations go towards payment for steeple restoration.

An Evening of Story is on Thursday July17, and 31, and Thursday August 21,
2008 at 7 p.m.-8 p.m., at the Little Meetinghouse on Rt.302 in the heart of North Windham
.

Donations of $10 per family, $5 adult,

$2 children (4yr -17yr) are appreciated.
